knitting
there's gotta be some sort of metaphor for life in it. yep yep. been knitting again. even with it being summer -- but this year being what it is, who's to know what month it is? I mean, I haven't even gotten my lunar new year cards out yet, have I?... but it's been a good wrap-myself-up and not-get-upset-by-all-the-dropped-stitches kinda year. like dropping 50 stitches. at once. in public.

been missing my bus stops, something I prided myself on never doing (used to be, I could wake up right before my stop every time -- and all that *with* my wallet!). but then, there is a new 'arry potter out. somehow finding myself absorbed by television of shame (oh the shame!), and just, well, life. not painting as much as I'd like, but so it goes. oh, wait. gotta run and get a good seat for the tv fest!

my mom has hit 61. she might not want you to know that, so we'll leave it at 18 or something. hum. blogger has updated its interface. oddly compelling, but not too bad. and i'm back at pma which is pretty ok, so far.

life has been atypical lately. my stomach is on some sort of strike -- I'm down to half a cuppa coffee, and about half my usual food intake. all to my chagrin. I mean I do have a reuptation to uphold and stuff!

been kayaking with the hound-dingo of love and my dees-e-poo-poo. our tenth anniversary has come and gone. despite my keen sense of cynicism, the gifties and celebrating didn't bring down the wrath of impending doom (my personal angsty worship of choice...). we saw multitudes of rays at point reyes this weekend, and egrets and herons at bolinas. and three or four town's worth of fireworks (sf, o-town, berzerkley, and sassilito) so despite my weird in-digestion, it was a nice weekend.
