breakupgirl is baaaack!!!
All that money, all that pain. Was jumping in selling out? Did I fight hard enough for my creation and beliefs? Should I have up and sued? Or should I have spared myself and walked away sooner? I mean, BG, aren't you all about cutting your losses, letting go, moving on, thinkin' positive, chalking it up -- if wearily -- to Life Experience? And if it is about Life Experience, how do I keep this one from making me timid and livid and bitter? I know they say "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger," but this whole thing was so heinous that sometimes I think dammit, I'd rather be weaker. Help me out, BG. How do I move on? What can I, sigh, Learn From All This?

harvard = prison couldn't resist the inflamatory link.
What do we expect the cost of a college education to be? Data suggests that the price of a year at Harvard is roughly the same as the amount it costs to keep a person incarcerated for a year.
thanks to geegaw for the link.

treasure hunt time! can't wait -- it's gonna be fun, there's gonna be a parade, we'll eat dim sum, and perhaps have a beer, I'm gonna be befuddled, but wandering happily through sf's various alleys... I can't wait!
happy happy new year, and oh yeah, bah humbug...

Another one for the ohmiGAWD files...
Coble Says He Agreed With Internment Of Japanese-Americans
House Judiciary Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security Subcommittee Chairman Howard Coble, R-N.C., said Tuesday on a
radio call-in program he agreed with the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II, the Associated Press reported.
Coble made the remark during an interview on WKZL-FM when a caller suggested Arabs in the United States should be confined.
Coble said he did not agree with the caller, but did agree with President Roosevelt, who established the internment camps shortly
after Pearl Harbor was bombed. Like most Arab-Americans today, Coble said, most Japanese-Americans were not America's enemies. Still, Coble said Roosevelt had to consider the nation's security. "Some probably were intent on doing harm to us, just as
some of these Arab-Americans are probably intent on doing harm to us," he said.
