This fascinating project called for an illustrated explanation of how the brain processes information -- from reception to final reaction. Logistically, it had to be concise, clear, and simple.

Much of the challenge was just understanding all the interactions and reactions within our brain. Since the electrical activity in our brain involves several nearly simultaneous actions, I used the standard convention of having the x-axis represent time. This allowed me the freedom to indicate the various reactions within a fairly coherent context.

For the sake of clarity, I settled for abstract representations of each brain structure. I would have liked to incorporate the actual physical location of each structure in the diagram.
